Although there are some Byzantine mosaic floors at Emmaus and Tabgha with images of lotus flowers, the lotus is not indigenous to Israel. One place in Israel where lotus does grows is the Jerusalem Botanical gardens which acts as a repository of plants that grow on this earth. I took some photographs of lotus in bloom which I share here.
